If two animals can mate and have offspring does that mean they are of the same species?

Ok... So I asked before what other animals besides humans have different races and I'm still confused..which makes one wonder if like there are chimps and then gorillas and then bonobos there are black, whites and orientals.. All of these races are human so they can mate and have children together... but can a chimp mate with a bonobo or gorilla since they're all monkeys? Do they represent different races of the same species same as humans? I know gorillas are physically much bigger than chimps, but dutch people are much bigger than mexicans so...
